ASUS Introduces New Integrated Graphics!

The reality of the matter is that most integrated motherboard graphics just can’t handle all of the latest and next generation video games that are available.

ASUS plans to change all that. They introduced a concept motherboard at Computex this year. Their planned X58 Immensity motherboard will work with a socket LGA Core i7 Intel chip and will come with a fully integrated ATI Raedon HD 5770 GPU. It will also sport a huge heat sink to keep the GPU from melting through the board itself since those babies put out a tremendous amount of heat.

If that isn’t enough, the new board comes with an integrated Lucid Hydra to provide Crossfire or SLI support and let you add any other video cards you want to add letting you tap into the capabilities of all of them to produce amazing graphics performance. Although you are realistically limited to two extra video cards since the Immensity only has two free PCI Express x16 slots available. It also uses DDR3 memory which you would expect but there are six slots for the memory and eight SATA ports.

As long as ASUS provides quality device and graphics drivers that can inter work smoothly with the drivers for the other video cards for all this new hardware, this board promises to be a gamer’s best friend.

We are anxiously awaiting the release of this new motherboard so we can test it on some games to see how it really performs.
