Droid X may have PC Connection Difficulties!

It seems that Verizon has not provided compatible PC charging and sync drivers with its Android 2.2 operating system package for the Motorola Droid X smart phone.

The PC does not recognize the phone because the drivers do not install properly.  Without the correct drivers installed, you cannot sync files between your phone and your PC. The charging drivers, which use the USB port power capabilities to charge the phone, may not work properly either.

Fortunately, there is a workaround for the syncing problem. You can turn off debugging mode on the phone before connecting it to the PC.  After that the PC drivers synchronization drivers should install properly. You can always turn the debugging mode on once your phone is connecting properly.

Next, if you want to use your PC to charge your phone, you will have to download and install the PC charging drivers for the Motorola Droid X.

Maybe it’s just me but shouldn’t something as basic as PC synchronization work out of the box? Also, shouldn’t charging drivers be included with the phone? I mean, even if they can charge their phone on their PC, most people will buy a plug in charger for their phone for the house, the car or both.
