Professional Graphics Card: Nvidia Quadro 400

Video cards are used for more than just rendering lightening fast 3D gaming images or brilliant HD images. Businesses  need a video card that can compute the thousands of coordinates needed for CAD design. That is what the Nvidia Quadro 400 was designed to do … run 10 times faster than a Sandy Bridge system and 5 times faster than a GeForce GTX 580 in tasks routinely performed by designers and engineers.

Forget gaming , these cards lay waste to Autodesk Auto CAD with 512MB DDR3 memory, a 10 bit per color color engine with a dynamic range of over one billion (1,000,000,000) variations. The card comes with drivers specially designed and optimized for work related programs.

The Quadro 400 provides 3D window clipping, a unified driver architecture, supports screen resolutions up to 3840X2400, a dual DVI link, Nividia Mosaic technology enabling users to connect two displays to a single video card with the final total of eight displays.

According to Jeff Brown, general manager, Professional Solutions Group, Nvidia, “The Quadro 400 is the right tool to help ensure that job gets done the right way, especially when it comes to running professional apps like Autodesk AutoCAD.”

Costing less that $200, the Nvidia Quardo 400 is everything a design engineer could want.
